Year 8 Geography Fieldwork

Year 8 students have been visiting the Old Quarter this week to carry out a geographical fieldwork investigation into the impacts of tourism in the area. Students have been collecting data on land use, tourist behaviour, questionnaires, and field sketches. Students demonstrated many of the school values of perseverance, respect, and enquiry throughout the day. The trip was an opportunity to participate in geography outside of the classroom and apply knowledge they have acquired in school in real contexts.

Following on from this data collection, students will now be analyzing their data, evaluating their fieldwork processes and writing conclusions on the question ‘what are the impacts of tourism?’
