Founded in 2004 in the United Kingdom, the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) is a highly respected organisation that recognises and supports schools in developing outstanding inclusive practice. IQM works with more than 6,500 schools and institutions across the UK and internationally and is widely recognised as a leading authority in this field.
IQM provides a rigorous and nationally recognised framework that enables schools to assess, measure, and continuously improve their inclusive provision. Its structured eight-element framework provides external, objective validation of a school’s ethos, ensuring that inclusion is not simply an aspiration but an embedded, sustained part of school life.
The IQM Centre of Excellence Award is a prestigious recognition granted to schools that demonstrate deeply rooted, authentic, inclusive practices. It also highlights a commitment not only to ongoing development, but to supporting other schools in becoming more inclusive.
St Andrews first made history in 2024 as the first international school to be awarded IQM Centre of Excellence status, a milestone that reflected our whole school commitment to inclusion and the shared vision across our community.
We were delighted to welcome back Mr Kevin O’Neill, Head of Education at IQM, for our re-accreditation visit. Following a comprehensive review of our school’s practices, culture, and approach to inclusion, St Andrews has successfully maintained its Centre of Excellence status.
This continued recognition reflects the dedication of our entire school community. It is the result of the collective efforts of our students, parents, teachers, and staff, all working together to create an environment where every individual is valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

While we are incredibly proud to have maintained our Centre of Excellence status, our journey does not stop here. We are now working towards IQM Flagship School status, the highest level of recognition awarded by IQM.
Flagship status represents the gold standard of inclusive practice. It is awarded to schools that demonstrate sustained excellence over time and take a leading role in sharing best practice with the wider educational community. This next step reflects our ambition to continue growing, innovating, and contributing beyond our own school.
Following our re-accreditation, we were honoured to host the IQM Thailand event on 15th May 2026. We welcomed educators and school leaders from across the country who are interested in learning more about inclusive education and the IQM journey.
This event provided an opportunity to share our experiences, exchange ideas, and support other schools in developing their own inclusive practices. It also reflects our commitment to contributing to the wider educational community, an important step in our journey towards Flagship status.
We are proud of what we have achieved together and look forward to continuing this journey as we build on our success and strive for even greater impact.
